With age the box has mellowed to a warm honey color. Fixed to the back are two collectors labels. The writing on the sliding lid reads, from right to left Kamogawaishi The stone's poetic name (first two characters unknown, the last two read Jiangshan - a mountain in China) The name and red seal of a previous owner. | Comments: | A single peak distant mountain stone of fine quality, formed of a dense, black mineral.
