| Size: | 5 x 3 x 3,75 inches, 12.5 x 7.5 x 9.5 cm (w x h x d) | ||||||
| Daiza: | Beautifully carved in Japan, from rosewood. Note, at some time the daiza has been broken and repaired, this has been done well, however, it is still possible to see the split on the underside. | ||||||
| Suiban: | Being a waterpool stone ideally it should be displayed in a suiban and
I have included one in the sale of the stone. The cream glazed oval suiban I have selected was made by Keisen - who's seal is impressed on the underside. Keisen was born in 1934 and started growing bonsai when very young, he now makes 'one off' bonsai pots and suiban. Width 10 inches (25cm) Note: the sand is poor quality and is not included in the sale. Provenance: |
This suiseki came from the collection of Mr. Hoshino, his collectors label is on the
underside of the daiza and reads - Kamogawa-mizutamari-ishi No. 6

A nice shaped waterpool stone with overhang to the left. | Due to the large overhang, this suiseki could also be viewed as a shelter stone, displaying on the daiza would be more appropriate for this classification. Price: |
SOLD, with thanks.
