Details and name of the priest, plus two of his red seals. I do not know what the combined characters of the set's name read, however, individually they say treasure, money, person/place. Being named by a priest it probably has a deep, or obscure religious meaning, difficult to translate into English - quite often the case with named Japanese suiseki. | Provenance: | Originally owned by a Zen priest.| Comments: |
A delightful set of five Furuya-ishi mountain stones, displayed on a custom made wooden stand. | Individually each stone has its merits and all make nice suiseki, however, when placed together they compliment each other very well and form a well balanced group. Width of the stones range from the largest at 4 inches (10cm), to the sweet little one of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the bottom shelf. Price: |
